Knew his aunts mary and Anna uncles Aloysius and another brother.Related through the brownes.Rest in peace AJ

I did not meet him,though I know who he is and his people,proud of their Irish heritage and Catholic faith.lord rest him.

Jeanne and family, so sorry to hear this sad news. You are all in my prayers.

My condolences go out to the McElwee family. I spent seven years as a Trainmaster on the Harrisburg Division and I loved working with Al. No one fought more or better for the union brothers that they represented. He was one of a kind and was definitely his own man. To this day, I often fondly tell "Al" stories to demonstrate what a great Union rep should be. He will be sorely missed.
