Not sure what to say?

Al was a great and congenial man and he assembled a great and congenial staff during his ownership of the Swiss Chalet during the most memorable period of the 1960's. He had the patience of a saint and a very, very high tolerance level for the numerous day in and day out antics and shennanigans of a bunch of high spirited clowns who " hung out " there during that time. How do I know this ? I was one of those clowns..... Al, St. Peter is going to shake your hand and escort you through the...

A great inspirational teacher in New Dorp. Rest In Peace sir.

Al, Joann, Michael and Donna: I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of your parents and you from the 1970s. Praying for peace for you. Maybe our parents are having fun reminiscing about Farrell’s Band Parents! Take care of yourselves! ❤

He was a rare man, tireless and entertaining. God blessed him, and we are all better for having known him.

Thank you for all of your venues, I had many years of great times at The Factory, The Rock Palace & The Swiss. May you rest in eternal peace❤

Mr. G was my graphic arts teacher at NDHS - I was class of 79... He is one of the few teachers that I have such a fond memory of and had the most utmost respect for.. He truly cared about his students and took the time to talk to us... I ran into him at the Rock Palace one night back in the 70's and had no idea that he was the owner... Boy, that made him the coolest teacher ever in my eyes :) May he rest in peace... Truly one of the special people in the world that made a difference in a...

So sorry for your loss..thoughts are with you all

I was a student at Port Richmond HS 1971-1972. I was in Mr. Gentile's Industrial Arts class. He was a great teacher, and one who inspired me to become a shop teacher after college. My condolences to the family. Rest in peace.

Rest In Peace. What a life lived. I remember him from New Dorp, always straight forward. I frequented many of his establishments, most notably the Famous Swiss Chalet. Thank you for your service to our City, Community, and Country. Semper Fidelis.
