Althea Spangler Evarts, a long time resident of the Peninsula, died on June 10, 2001 in Seattle. She was 93. Born in Oakland in 1907, she moved to South San Francisco in 1916, when her father, Martin Luper Spangler joined the new E.H. Edwards Wire Rope Company as mechanical engineer....
