Not sure what to say?

I came to know Alto late, after he passed. I was listening to the satellite music station called The Bridge, the softer side of classic rock and I heard this faraway haunting sax. It was the studio version of Turn The Page, and I had to find out who the sax player was. I checked my Bob Seger cd and I learned it was Alto and TTP was on there. It was live recording but I didn't care. I still loved it. I bought more cds of Bob Seger and I even bought a solo cd of Alto. He was wonderful. I am so...

You were the musician I’ve ever known I’m gonna miss you

Alto Reed! What a fabulous Rock Star musician! I will miss seeing him with 'the band'..much love Alto ❤ ♥...........

Loved to see him play. Thank you for your love of the music and the sax.

Alto Reed as everybody knows him was not his given name. I meant Alto in 4th grade band, we both played the trumpet and he was known as Thomas Cartmell. I´ll have to admit Alto Reed sounds better. It´s hard for me to remember when he went to a French horn (8th grade?) then sax (9th grade?). I remember asking him why he went to a saxophone this time and he said it was more universal. A year or so later he wanted to know if I would like to join a band he was trying to start? I told him no...

I knew him in East Lansing before he joined the Silver Bullet Band. He was a member of Ormandy and a songwriter with Terry Halstead. He will be missed.

You will be missed greatly!!! Thank you for all the wonderful music and all the memories that went along with each performance !!! REST IN PEACE

It will soon be two years since you left but you will never be forgotten for the wonderful talent you shared with this old world. Rest In Peace
