Pat, our hearts hurt because of the passing of Alton, a favorite, cousin. Alton and I grew up together in Taylor County. Many fun times of our youth are now precious memories. Alton was best man at our wedding June 4, 1960. Though the miles and years separated us we still had good times at occasional family gatherings and Alton would entertain us with his poems and music along with his guitar.
Health issues keeps us from joining you today.

Al has been a good friend for almost 40 years. We have worked together on the Board of the Texas Parks and Recreation Foundation since the early 80's. Al was a leader in the parks and recreation profession and was loved and respected by everyone across the State.
