Alton M. "Al" Lacy

I remember professor Lacy as a very witty , highly intelligent and demanding teacher of crown and bridge at UCSF . I got to know him a little better after I failed his infamous fixed bridge construction class In 1981 . I did some remedial work under his somewhat reluctant tutelage that summer and have to commend him for his positive input . Thankfully , I passed his course in 1982 or else I’d probably still be trying to graduate . His slightly elitist sense of humor and fanatical standards...

Al Lacy was a patient of mine when we were dental students at UCSF back in the 1970's. I remember he had a Ph.D. and was one brilliant and kindly gentleman. My thoughts go out to his family for their great loss.

I just learned of the passing of Dr. Lacy and wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you all.

Dr. Lacy was an extremely talented dentist. I was a patient for many years from 1995 through 2015 as he replaced my front teeth caps three times and would check them periodically to ensure all was good.
