I remember professor Lacy as a very witty , highly intelligent and demanding teacher of crown and bridge at UCSF . I got to know him a little better after I failed his infamous fixed bridge construction class In 1981 . I did some remedial work under his somewhat reluctant tutelage that summer and have to commend him for his positive input . Thankfully , I passed his course in 1982 or else I’d probably still be trying to graduate . His slightly elitist sense of humor and fanatical standards...

Al Lacy was a patient of mine when we were dental students at UCSF back in the 1970's. I remember he had a Ph.D. and was one brilliant and kindly gentleman. My thoughts go out to his family for their great loss.

I just learned of the passing of Dr. Lacy and wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you all.

Dr. Lacy was an extremely talented dentist. I was a patient for many years from 1995 through 2015 as he replaced my front teeth caps three times and would check them periodically to ensure all was good. He was an absolute perfectionist and I remember numerous visits to his office at UCSF to match the teeth color perfectly and get the shape right. When...
