Not sure what to say?

Reading of Kirk's passing, since moving out of state several years ago, was very sad. I was fortunate to have been Kirk's hairstylist and friend for 20 years.
He was a funny, kind and generous gentleman.
I've missed seeing him every month since moving.
I will always remember him fondly.
My heartfelt condolences to Janet.

I had never met Kirk, but in the 80s, my mother was a travel agent, and took me on my first cruise.. on the old Statendam. I became friends with some of the officers on board who went on to become Holland America leaders, and he was held in such high regard by them for what he did with the line. Then, as life comes full circle, I moved to the Desert, also became a travel agent, and started to see Kirk's name in the local papers.

As a congregation, we prayed for him often at Sacred...

Mr. Lanterman-

My sincerest condolences to Janet.

Kirk was the Master who not only turned HAL around but also motivated executives and employees to run a financial stable company.
As Honorary Chairman he supported from the founding Association DE LIJN North America. Moreover he had great admiration for the officers and crew on the vessels who carried The Tradition of Excellence to satisfy all guests on board.
AKL invited me and family to come to Seattle which we did not regret. The change in climate and life style as well as the...

What a wonderful man! He added so much goodness to our world. We were all lucky to have him in our lives. Best Euchre partner ever!

My experience with Kirk was many years ago during his career at Price Waterhouse & Co. I was a rookie and he was an experienced account manager. Kirk was a very unique individual and demanded the best out of people. I don't know if it was my Idaho farm boy background and his North Dakota background, but I felt I connected with Kirk and was at ease with his demanding approach and enjoyed the years I worked with him.

Kirk was an entrepreneurial person, wasn't typical in the...

I remember Kirk's sense of humor and kindness to everyone at HAL, always acknowledging us in the hallways or elevator. On my 5th anniversary he took a group of us (about 8) to Palisades for lunch and actually had conversations and showed us he valued us as employees and humans. He will always be remembered as the leader who grew our business and gave so many a career. Take care, Janet......Rest in Peace, Kirk.
