Was recently made aware of his passing. Commanded a company in his battalion in Hawaii in the 1960s where he suggested I go to flight school. A decision for which I am eternally grateful. I again served in his aviation group in Vietnam. Al Post was an unassuming polished professional officer who readily helped young officers develop. Camille and I are saddened by his passing.

My dad was pretty sad when he got the news. My dad just wrote him a letter and is still alive. My dad saved his life many times and got aPurple Heart. Captain Post was my dads hero. I am sorry about his loss and felt like I knew Captain Post because my dad always talked about him. I am very sorry about your loss your dad was incredible.
