Alvar Kauti

Missing the chance to tell him "thanks again" for helping me go to Jarvenpaa and get a real taste of Finnish life all those years ago. I had no idea my favorite flea market was also a reason to admire and thank hm.

If you're reading this, Heidi, I'm acutely aware that today is the one year anniversary of his passing. As everyone says, he was a dear, dear man and I loved him very much. My condolences to you and the family. I'm sure this is a tough day for you as well. Fondly, Val

So sorry to hear about Alvar's passing. We were his cruising companions when he was married to Ellen. We had so many good times together. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

My deepest prayers to the Kauti family. I pray for their strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Alvar Kauti was a very dear friend. I will always remember him as a happy, loving, kind, and caring gentleman.

I will miss Alvar eternally.

AK truly personified kindness, integrity, and friendship. It was very fortunate for me to work for AK at PCC for all those years; I'll always treasure the memories I have of AK. He was such an excellent mentor to myself, and countless other people! Mark, Morgan, Oliver, and I will always have fond memories of Alvar.
