Al was closer to me than a brother. after his wonderful father Harry passed away Al became part of my family. my mother and father loved him like a son. he adorded my M annde treated her to little jokes . Ma tried to teach him Yiddish and Russian songs. there was never a meal that we didn't love and enjoy each others company. after he found his reallove he couldn't kvell enough. Please accept my great sorrow for the loss of Al. He was a true friend to me and unselfishly supported me with his intellect and knowledge in a time of great hardship for me. Al was one of Kirkegaard's stars, an eternal, unchanging light of knowledge and character to which I could turn to for direction and guidance. I truly cannot express to you how important he was to me, and many others in the legal profession. He will never be forgotten by me. Bill Dallas

Al was the most influential person in my career as a lawyer. For almost 15 years when we worked together at Beermann, Al was my mentor, and for the last 19, my friend.
