Not sure what to say?

I knew Alvin for only a short time but was touched by his devotion to others and how quick he was to befriend people. Best wishes to the family during this difficult time.

Alvin, my friend, you were an absolute joy to be around with an incredible sense of humor, kindness and generosity. You gave back to so many, including me. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there when you passed, but you and your family are in my prayers. Your memory will always live on with me with great love and respect.

Blessings to Alvin's family. Alvin has been so kind to me the last 4 years, even calling me every 2 weeks over the last 2 years to see how my mom was faring in her battle with cancer. My mom passed on Dec. 1st and was memorialized and buried at 11a.m. Dec. 4th, the same time as Alvin. Alvin, I hope you're greeting my "Moms" and showing her around! I miss you so much! Love, Sameena

Dear Cousin Alvin,

Back in the day the Carpenters were one of the cornerstone families in our neighborhood!..Till we meet again Alvin.....peace.

Alvin made a huge impact upon my life and the lives of others. He truly walked the walk - always ready to lend a helping hand and always ready to open his heart with a kind word and big bear hug.
He had a way of putting a smile on my face in the worst of days. I know that he is in wonderful hands today and will continue to help us all as we celebrate the wonderful memories he has left with us. My thoughts and prayers are with Alvin and his family. ...
