Norman and Pam: It was fantastic to meet you both. Lona (mom) had a special fondness and "long distance" relationship with Al that I appreciate because it made her happy. The remembrance service was terrific and although I met Al when I was about a year old, I never met him later in life such that I could remember him. Al and Irene relocated in Corralitos some time in the 80's across the street from Holy Eucharist Parish. The title search disclosed that his neighbors garage was half on Al's property. The next thing I saw was the neighbors garage cut in half and Al putting up a fence.

The only time I saw Al really upset and frustrated was when (others will have to help me on this) either a family member or close friend had their farm taken from them in the political mess that created Zimbabwe. ...
