this is a most engaging, honorable tribute to a man i wish i could have met or, at best, even known.
that he never 'boasted,' to me, personally, is what shows his true character and makes him most memorable. it's true, men like this - from 'that' generation - are few and far between and probably no longer exist. how fortunate for his family and those close with him. thank you for sharing this beautiful memorial

I did not know this man but I was drawn in to reading such heartfelt and thoughtful words written about him and his life. His actions remind me of my own grandfather and father, unfortunately men like him are now far and few between. It's obvious the love and admiration that was felt for him by these words written in his honor . My condolences to his family, may he rest in peace.
