Alvin I. Fehlman

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Fehlman's family. He was a lovely man.

Dear Jim, Elaine and family; I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Al only once, but, thanks to Jim and Elaine, I've heard some great stories about him. I had the upmost respect for him, and his sacrifice from being a prisoner of war. I wish I could have known him better; but I have very kind thoughts of him. Jim and Elaine are my best friends, and I pray that they, along with their family, will find peace and comfort. He will be missed forever, but wonderful memories will help the family...

I always teased that Alvin was "my favorite uncle" of all the Fehlman boys. In return he called me his "favorite niece"...that was Uncle Alvin. As his big sister, Caroline (my mom) often said "Alvin was the biggest tease..always getting into mischief when we were kids". I loved that after retirement, Alvin stayed active always...going to the gym regularly, meeting his buddies for lunch, tending his garden, staying active as a WWII veteran and even participating in Wauconda's Veteran's Day a...

Jim, Karen, David, and families, We are so sorry to hear of Al's passing. I have known him for the 50 years Harry and I are married and Harry longer than that. He was always so friendly, helpful and kind. We had many a good time with him and your Mom at bingo games and then out for "breakfast" after. Am sure you will miss him a lot just as you do Bev. He is with her now and they will both be looking over all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Great Uncle Alvin. I made a trip to Ill a couple years ago and got to spend sometime with him. He was so nice and I felt at ease with him. I am sure glad we made that visit. My thoughts and prayers are going out to all of you his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, always remember the good times and they will help keep him close to you.
