Judge Goldstein, liberal champion of the underdogs, testified for me when I was fired from, then reinstated to, the Marin County Sheriff' Office back in the 60's. I often disagreed with his decisions from the bench but highly respected his courage of convictions. I had no knowlege of his early life and education, his military heroism or of his post-retirement dedication to those in foreign lands but am further impressed. God rest his soul.
