Such a genuinely nice man, a true gentleman. I always enjoyed talking with Mr. Halpern every time he came into our office, when we spoke on the phone, and at various functions. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with his family and dear friends at this time. His impact on New Orleans (and on me personally) will live on forever. I'm thankful to have known him.
