Alvin Wayne Hethke, 84 of Roberts, died at 7:32 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Country Health Care, Gifford.


A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton followed by a graveside service at Lyman Twp. Cemetery, Roberts with Pastor Keith Reuther officiating.


Alvin was born January 18, 1940, on a farm in rural Buckley the son of Emil and Lilly Kietzman Hethke.  He married Ann Johnson August 8, 1959, in Glidden, Iowa.  She preceded him in death June 25, 2021.


He is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Mark) Richardson of Penfield; one granddaughter, Jessica (Jordy) Vela; two great grandchildren, Emberlyn and Liam; brothers Bob (Barb) Hethke of Arkansas, Larry (Cel) Hethke of Gifford, Floyd (Jean) Hethke of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Roger (Kathy) Hethke of Thawville and a sister, Janice Schumacher of Oklahoma.


He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers, Everett, Arnie and Wes Hethke.


Alvin was a pipe fitter for Hicks Company, Roberts for 58 years and retired in May 2017.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Roberts.  Al enjoyed traveling, camping and vacationing with his family.  He loved going to work every day.
