Alvin Dotson Lambert

Jesup, GA

Mr. Alvin Dotson Lambert, 75, passed away Thursday morning, December 20, 2007, at the Jesup Health Care Center.

A native of Barnwell City, GA, he had lived in Florida for many years before moving to Pierce County 31 years ago. Mr. Lambert was retired from the Department of Transportation and was a member of the Living River Church of God. He was a son of the late Charlie & Amanda Lambert and was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Ray Nix; and all of his brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Carter Lambert of Jesup; 6 daughters, Martha Lambert and Brenda Sue Lambert both of Florida, Pat Woolard and Loretta Lynn Rowland both of North Carolina and Sharon Jacobs and Rita Faye Gill both of Georgia; seven sons, Alvin Lambert, Jr., David Lambert, Edward Claude Nix and Herbert Eugene Nix all of Florida, Nathan Lambert, John William Spruill and Warren Ellis Spruill all of Georgia; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Lambert will be held Sunday, December 23, 2007, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Lambert will be held Saturday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
