I was very sad to hear the news via the NY Times about Alvin Lane. I recall how generous he was with his art of Alexander Calder. Upon learning that my choreography A Dancer's View of Calder's Universe was to be danced at Wave Hill, Alvin Lane personally brought his Calder Mobile and set it up for our show.
