Rochelle & family,
I was saddened to learn the news about Alvin. We were colleagues at the University where I taught in the Law School and he in the Business School. As the years progressed we managed to meet at Tony Ciraldo's barber shop and catch up on the news. I always looked forward to seeing him as he always had something interesting to share with me.

My condolences to Rochelle and family. Al was a special man and an exceptional educator. It was Al's guidance and counsel (including during several calls taken on his home phone) that ultimately led me to Akron law. It is not an exaggeration to say I would not be where I am today without Al. I will be forever grateful for his personal attention to my academic and professional careers, and his decades of selfless service to the University of Akron. May his memory be eternal.

You are in our hearts and prayers, Rochelle. We met you and Alvin at St. Edwards when Garys dad Richard was there. We looked forward to seeing you and Alvin (Al) when we came to visit our dad. You were both such a breath of fresh air...we loved coming in to that small room (more privacy to sit and talk, usually while Alvin was eating). Our conversations were always so interesting. You touched our hearts ♥ Our time at St. Eds was enriched by having met you and having shared time with both of...

I had the pleasure of getting to share many moments and stories with Alvin and Bob at Summit Leather. As their UPS driver I spent much time at their business. It was a pleasure getting to know them both. My prayers and condolences go out to your entire family at this time. I was saddened to hear of Alvin's passing. He was a very good man and I am sure he will be greatly missed.
