Alvin Gene Loving

Alvin Gene Loving, 59, of Fredericksburg, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Loving had retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren after 36 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the US Army. Survivors include his son, David T. Loving; his sisters, June Hall and Jackie Walker, all of Fredericksburg; and his grandsons, Mathew D. Loving and Noah C. Loving. A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Wednesday, February 18 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
