Not sure what to say?

I did not know of Alvin and his Family until this tragedy, however, he will be in my thoughts forever. My heart goes out to those left behind. May you take care of each other in this time of need.

Dear Al, My son really enjoyed talking with you this past spring as he worked on the kitchen renovations in your home.Too bad my husband missed out on swapping old Navy tales of another and place and time. He knows you two would have hit it off right away. Please know how much your great grand children loved you. They spoke of you often, as did my grandson. May you sail the calmest sea, under the brightest moon, until we meet drop anchor in that beautiful, exotic port.

My condolences go to the family of Alvin he was the sweetest guy I have ever taken care of while working in a nursing home. This is such a tragity.... I am so sad and in shock that anything could happen like this... hi grandaughter took such good care of him and was always there to help us do anything for him. I want to send my deepest sympathy to this family may god bless you all Alvin rip their is no more struggling and suffering...We will meet again someday... luv ya Ashley

God Bless

So very sorry to hear about the tragic death of Alvin. Not only was Steven Zernhelt a hero, Al was also a hero for his participation in World War ll. May he rest in peace.

Our sincerest sympathy goes out to the family during this very painful moment in time.

We are sorry for your tragic loss of your Great-Grandfather, Brother, Best Friend. Surely Alvin stands next to Jesus, completely understanding all of God's mysterious ways. We hope this poem will ease some of your grief.
"To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do...

My deepest sympathies to the entire Marsh family. I had the good fortune to work with Al at Martin Marietta. In many ways he was my mentor; he taught me a lot. He'll be missed.
