MATTSON, Alvin Maurice-Of Flint, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 26, 2017 at MediLodge of Montrose. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Crestwood Cemetery. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Alvin married Margaret Osmer on March 28, 2004. He serviced in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a pilot and training commander. Alvin was an avid traveler and enjoyed camping and RVing.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret;
children, Pennye L. Mattson and wife Sherrie Tyler, Pattye L. Mattson and John A. and wife Peggy Mattson;
step-children, Daniel and wife Colleen Walling, Janet Walling, Michael and wife Judy Walling and Frann Parker;
2 grandchildren, Jake and Noah;
2 brothers, Wallace, Arthur D. Jr. and wife Donna;
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; and his parents Arthur and Lembi.
Though I only met you once, I remember it fondly. My deepest sympathies to Pattye, Pennye, John and Margaret. Rest in Peace Alvin.
