Not sure what to say?

I was a close friend of Al at Texas A&M. I was also on the bowling team and we played a lot of poker together. ( he was an expert regarding games of chance) We were pretty close friends!
The last time I saw him was in Las Vegas...He loved games of chance! He was almost always a winner! My condolences, he will be sorely missed
by all who knew him! ('62 Aggie friend)

I attended the Univ. of S. Ala. in the late 70's (and my dad was the Professor of German there from '67 to '78). I first signed up for a Statistics class as a pre-req for a Biology class I was planning to take. Dr. Rainosek made Statistics so interesting that I ended up taking enough classes for a minor! Ethelyn, you and I graduated from high school together and Gilbert and Alvin were great friends in both school, A&M and also Boy Scouts. We both send our condolences to you and all your family. Deanna (Green) and Gilbert Drab

I only knew him for a short time, but he was really a nice guy. I've known his son and wife for several years now and they will be in my prayers.

He was a very special man. I will miss seeing him ! Susy Salter

I was blessed to have learned (a little) statistics from Dr. Rainosek, and was happy that my daughter got to enjoy him too. You've got to love a Statistician that requires you to read "How to Lie With Statistics." My condolences to his family.

Our deepest condolences to Ethelyn and the boys. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
