I am John Hale, and I presently live in Williamsburg, Virginia. My wife is Billie Sue GALE who descends the GALE family of Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The entire Hassell family wishes to express its deepest sympathy to the Reynolds family on the loss of Alvin Parker. We cherish the memories of living next door to Parker, Leslie, AP, Jack, and Scotty. Battery Park during the 70's was truly a magical place to grow up. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you all and we know that only time will heal your hearts. May God bless each and every one of you.

Alvin was a good friend and will be missed. He had a great many friends at the TGS and VBGS, mostly I think, because he was a great friend to all.

It seems like just yesterday that I was helping him learn, and solve computer genealogical programs and helping solve computer problems...but were do the years go...that wasn't yesterday, that was 1983 or 84. I will miss you old friend.

Alvin will be missed dearly. He always had a bright smile and made our day happy everytime we saw him at 7-11. We will miss his laugh and we will miss him very much. He was such a great friend.
