Jamie...as you know your Dad and my Dad Gene Turpin worked together at Concrete Structures for many years. They were also fellow Hokies who followed VT football. I am so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family! Dad passed away 12/31/20...I was trying to find a contact for your Dad to let him know...god bless them both! I was a general contractor and often I worked with Dunbar Milby and Williams and Al was the field contact. Always pleasant, honest, straight forward and professional. When Al pointed out a mistake, you didn't mind because he was exactly right. My son in law, Rolfe Shiflets built Al's house and he would agree with me.

I had the pleasure of working with Al all of his years at Dunbar as a structural engineer. He was passionate about his work, a friend to all he worked with, and highly respected. He was always a joy to be around. May the God of all Comfort encourage his family in their loss.
