Al was a great guy. I feel like I knew him all of my life. He was fun, kind hearted with a great spirit. My condolences to the family.

I still remember Al and his family so fondly from my childhood years ago. Such a great remembrance of this man.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Shapiro. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
