Alvin A. Sherry, age 53 of the Town of Pine Lake, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Rhinelander, on Thursday, January 7, 1965, the son of Atwood E. and Margie A. (Wilcox) Sherry. Alvin was a 1983 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He was employed at Marplex, Twist Drill and in 1989 began his career at the paper mill and was currently employed at the their as a Core Cutter. He was united in marriage in Rhinelander on October 26, 2012, to Rebecca Seludo Lababo.
He was a member of Grace Four Square Church and the N.R.A.
Alvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, auctions, working on his cars, repurposing things, using his bobcat and spending time outdoors. He was very mechanically inclined and could just about fix anything. He loved his job and working and will be remembered for being a very dedicated employee. But most of all, Alvin will be remembered for his love to his family, especially his wife, Rebecca.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife; Rebecca, three sisters; Diane Schneeweis of Crandon, Wisconsin, Karen (Kevin) Lake of Rhinelander, Connie Hablewitz-Sherry of Rhinelander, nephews; Lynn Teschendorf of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Joe (Gretchen) Lake of Madison, Wisconsin, John (Michelle) Lake of Madison, Wisconsin, mother-in-law and father-in-law; Claudio and Juanita Lababo of Villareal West Samar, Philippines, three sisters-in-law; Raquel, Rosemarie and Roselyn, four brothers-in-law; Roel, Runnel, Romenick and Rey, his four legged friend; “Thunder”, and two great-nieces; Brianna and Brandy Teschendorf. Alvin is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Atwood and Margie Sherry and brother-in-law; Bob Schneeweis.
The visitation for Alvin will be held on Saturday evening, November 10, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hildebrand Funeral Home. A second visitation will take place on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service. Pastor Julie Wilcox will be officiating.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Northland Memorial Park.
