Condolences to family and friends of Rabbi Sugarman. I will always treasure the times working with Rabbi Sugarman during my time as President of B´nai Brith Women

My wife Bobbi and I are in deep mourning over the loss of our Beloved Rabbi and friend Alvin Sugarman. I first got to know him in 69' when he and Rabbi Rothschild, of Blessed memory, were teaching our confirmation class. He was such a wise and witty teacher. He performed the conversion of my then fiance in 71' and 72' while I was away in the Navy. He married Bobbi and I in 1973 at the Temple. He presided over all our family life cycle events over the years. Several times we sought his wise...

Rabbi Sugarman's superb intelligence combined with extraordinary empathy was his greatness. to be with him was to feel secure and loved.

Alvin had a heart of gold and the patience of a giant. Our family adored him and he loved us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family who he loved very much. He was a good honest soul. Anta Romm and Lisa Kepler
