Not sure what to say?

A true friend indeed!

I am truly sorry for your loss. May you gain comfort by pouring out your heart to God in prayer. He cares for you and wants to support you during this most difficult time.

Alvin, will always be #1 in our hearts and in our memories. Rest in Peace Sergeant Alvin Tate. Darnell and Diane Tate

As a big brother, he was kind, generous, and loved. As a friend he was special. He was all ways Weed to me and then earned the right to be affectionately known as number one. I love you big brother and I miss you so much. You will always be in my mind, my heart and my spirit.

Sleep now and know that your family can never, and will never forget your smile and encouraging words from a man who was always my friend and my big brother. Love you, miss you.

My friend of 35 years was laid to rest on Nov 8th. Those years were filled with so many laughs; many of which would get us both fired in this ultra PC world we live in today. I loved Alvin like a brother and will miss him dearly. As expected his service was SRO. We all had our thoughts and smiles. His footprints on earth will last generations. To Viv, the kids and his brothers hugs to you; as I too will always remember Alvin.

Oct 31 2017 was the last texted I got from Papa Tate, asking me was my daughter bowling with us tonight. A wonderful person to know, my bowling teacher.

Uncle Alvin is a ray of light to us from heaven with his big beautiful smile. I love you all Aunt Viv, CJ, Elaina and Lloyd. Childhood memories never forgotten.
