Dr A.I THomas, the man, the Legend! Sir you paved the way for all who followed you as the leader of the great institution Prairie View A & M University. We miss you sir, but much than that we miss your great contribtuion to the fabric Prairie View, Texas, the United States and the world. You left this world much better than you found it! Dr. Thomas, it does not matter the passage of time and distance....never has... never will. The influence you've had on my personal and business life is infinite. Among students you've influenced over the years, the conversations are both congenial and profound. Both yourself and Dr. Robert Henry are the only two professionals who told me that there's no limit to number of degrees you can obtain within just one four year period........and that it is limited only by your own curiosity. Dr Thomas was a wonderful person.

This man, Dr Alvin I Thomas, was nothing less than a genius walking! Prairie View A & M University continues to flourish on the foundation set by this extremely able, intelligent and shrewd gentleman.

Dr Thomas was a nice president to everyone.

When I think of Prairie View A&M, I always think of Dr. Thomas and the five students in 1971 who were displaced for speaking their views of the affairs of the University and for asking questions. Their education, graduation, ROTC Commissions, pride, and their careers were all factors that were changed because of the actions of Dr. Thomas. I am sure that his legacy will long be remembered and his actions towards the students who were displaced will be the legacy that goes with his name. Long...
