Al Tooke was a kind and gentle soul. We met at a Renaissance Fair in 1981 in Kane'ohe, Hawai'i. I was performing there, and he ended up playing flamenco guitar for my performances when another guitarist left the show. He had studied with a famous teacher, Diego del Gastor, in Moron de la Frontera in Spain. We became friends. He also played for my company in several concerts over the years.
