Not sure what to say?

He was a unique man. He totally loved his family. I was changed but knowing him. My sympathies to all.

Al and I met doing business over the phone for a few years - he in NY and me in LA. He liked my hutzpah, and I his. We decided we had to meet. He was 87 and I was 53, but we finally met for breakfast when he was in LA. He was so cool, interesting, charming and debonair. It was awesome. A few years later my wife and I flew to NY for his 90th birthday. Of course it was a 1st class affair. Congratulations Al Trenk on a life so well lived. I so enjoyed our friendship, learned a lot from you...

Reading about Alvin's recent passing brought back memories from long ago as early as his attending my Bar Mitzvah in 1958. -Bruce Leiwant
