Al was a lifelong friend. We were neighbors, and in our teens were active in our Church and Youth Group. We were a close group and still stay in touch. As a loyal and fellow Flotilla member of the Coronado Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, we who knew him are saddened to hear of his passing. Al was a pleasure, and fun member to serve with, and his enduring smile will be with us always.
