Not sure what to say?

Estelle and Family, I am sorry to hear of Alvin's passing. Often, he would usher at our church conventions. As teenagers do, we sometimes whispered or passed notes during the service. Alvin would gently approach us, smile and put a finger to his mouth indicating quietness. That was all we needed. He was always a kind gentleman. I end with the words from the Chris Rice song "Come to Jesus” (Untitled Hymn) "And with your final heartbeat,
Kiss the world goodbye,
Then go in peace,...

Estelle,boys and families,

You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
Alvin was a man of integrity and Christian character.......always a blessing and encourager. Now he is enjoying his heavenly reward.

The Wessel and Van Deventer families have ministered to us many times. Our families were long time friends, enjoying many years of church functions, camps and conventions.
God bless and keep you is my prayer

Estelle, Al Jr., Roger & families: I was deeply saddened to hear about Uncle Alvin's passing. It took a blizzard to keep me from attending his services, but please know that my prayers were with all of you. I will always remember his love and care for all who knew him, and the twinkle in his eyes. I consider myself privileged to have known him as my uncle. I will forever remember his signature phrase, "Well, man a-livin'!" May we all take comfort in knowing that he is in heaven and...

Wessel Family,
May God's blessings be upon you during this trying time. Bro. Wessel had such a beautiful smile and even more so, a beautiful spirit. He was so kind and tenderhearted. We enjoyed seeing him when we were in Rapid City visiting family. Take comfort in knowing he was loved by all.

Bro. Wessel was always a huge supporter of our youth events (car washes, missions trips, etc.) at church. Always sincere, always friendly, always kind, always had time to say hello, always helpful, always interested in others. A great, great man of God. He made a tremendous impact in his life in the most humble of ways. It truly is an honor to have known him. My love to the family. I'm very sad he's gone.

Dr. Wessel has been my doctor for 16 years now, though I didnt know your father I met him in the waiting room one time. He told me several funny jokes, talked & played with my boys, and actually questioned me about your ability... then he proudly said "I know he is my son".
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Diane, Alecia, Dylan ,and Austin
