I consider Al one of my dearest friends. We graduated from High School together and have kept in contact all these years. We visited Al and Norm in Marion a couple of years ago and they were both fine. There are many friends here in Wisconsin that are shocked and saddened by the news of her death. I was waiting to hear from her after she was settled in Ft. Lauderdale as we e-mailed often.

I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to the entire Piechocki Family. Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, not only was Karen my very best friend, but Mrs. Piechocki was my second Mom. She would always tell me to call her Alvina, but I never could...out of respect...she was always Mrs. Piechocki.
