Kent was a remarkable individual. I had the honor of being his caregiver. I fondly remember when we first met & how so very kind hearted he was. We laughed, we even had our times of tears, but overall I was in awe of his strength and determination. Kent was motivated in helping others with disabilities have a better path. He was adamant on making a change to help others like him and it showed with his passion in all of his efforts through the years. I learned so much from my time with...

Kent was my best friend growing up in Grand Prairie,Tx. I always thought about him since junior high and especially after the accident. He and his foundation did so much for people around the world! My thoughts and prayers are with his family! He is in Heaven-no pain nor suffering...he is walking again with God!!! with my love,Dr. Mike Robison,MD

I was a fan of Kent’s and, also, a horned frog at TCU. He was an outstanding athlete, providing all of his fans countless exciting games! More importantly, I will remember him for his faith in God, kind heart, respect for his teammates, classmates, coaches, professors, and opponents on the field. Laurie (Smith) Guido

I had the pleasure of working with Kent and becoming his friend during my time as SID (1978-81) at TCU. I regret not knowing Kent lived in Natchitoches because I would have loved to visit with him. I look forward to meeting his sons and wife soon. He realized he wanted to make the most of his life. Kent left his place at TCU to pursue his passion...fighting to make this world a better place for those with disabilities. God bless his family.

This is David Waldrep, son of Cecil Waldrep. Cecil passed in 1991; however, I had the opportunity to connect with Kent a couple of times during that decade. It struck me during one such luncheon how resilient, how focused and how dedicated Kent was to his life mission. He felt chosen and called to carry the cross for the physically challenged. And he did it with such grace, humor and humility. Truly a Godly man.

I remember Kent always with a smiling face. We enjoyed visiting with him and his dad in Hawaii at dinner. My step father, Kent’s grandfather would be so proud of his accomplishments. How he did love Kent!
