Read MoreJust learned about Alys today, and over a year has passed since her death. I remember a wonderful friend while growing up. We were classmates at Sharyland Elementary and I remember a very kind and thoughtful girl. She was extremely bright and a straight A student. She was beautiful inside and out. My condolences to her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear that Alys is gone. What a lovely human being she was. She was a shining light when I knew her in high school and clearly continued to be through her way-too-short time on this earth. My prayers are with you all. Sheri Albrecht

To Alys' family--I just learned of her death today and am really saddened. I knew Alys both at school and in dance classes, where she was always kind and generous to all. Heaven has gained a real angel in her.

I didn't know about this until today. Alys was a great lady. I just feel awful for her many friends and her family, and, personally, I'm very sad to learn of her passing. I messed up and let work interfere with attending the last Mission High reunion, thinking I could just go to the next one. I should have known better at my age.
