Amado T. Asua entered the Lord’s kingdom on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Santa Rosa, Texas. He was born on September 13, 1943, to Rosalio Asua and Evita Torres in Santa Rosa, Texas.


He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Rosalio and Evita Asua; siblings, Lucy Ruiz, Placido Asua, Paula Diaz, Manuel Asua.


Amado, a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, cherished spending time outdoors in his yard with his wife. He also found joy in woodworking, creating projects for his children and even building barbecue pits for friends and family. He was a devoted Christian who enjoyed serving God with all his heart and will be greatly missed.


Left behind to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 63 years, Maurilia Asua; 5 children, Amanda (Nick) Osborne, Patricia (Jack) Starks, Amado (Tina) Azua Jr., Michael (Maria) Azua, Adrian Azua; grandchildren, Stephanie N. (Justin) Curnel, Kimberly D. (Rickey) Beasley, Kelly R. (Spencer) Heiden, Nicki J. Osborne, Cecilia A. (Perry) Foster, Julian X. Starks, Victoria C. Starks, Amado Azua III, Arturo Javier Azua, Marina (Antonio) Aguilar, Brandon (Alyssa) Azua, Sadie Grace Azua, Savannah Rose Azua, Jennifer, Amber (Lupe), Jaylen, (Priscilla); great grandchildren, Kennedy, Emery (Curnel), Cayden, Cameron (Beasley), Lionel, Isabella, Kobyn, Audri, Eleanor (Heiden), Aliyah, Avah (Osborne), Ezekiel P. Foster, Miracle Faith Aguilar, Mason G. Azua, Cataleya, Aidan, Jayden, Ava, and Judah.


Visitation will be held on Friday February 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. with an opening prayer at 7 p.m. led by Olivia Rojas and with a prayer service led by Pastor Armando Escamilla.


Cremation will follow at Val Verde in Donna, Texas.
