Amalia V. Solis, born January 14, 1930 in Mission, Texas went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2021, at the age of 91. Amalia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Enrique (Henry) Solis; parents, Maria Rivera and Sotenes Vega; sons, Raymundo Fernandez, and Rodolfo Fernandez; brothers, Vicente Rivera, and Fidencio Zamaripa; sisters, Lydia Acuna, and Anadelia Zamaripa.
She is survived by her brother, Jose Zamaripa (Teresa); children, Rosalinda Perez, Graciela Joyner (Rick), George Fernandez (Josie), Richard Fernandez (Margarita), Janie Herrera, Eva Kleiber (Tim), and Paul Trevino; numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 4:00 PM with a Rosary reciting at 7:00 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel.
Procession will depart Hillcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Carranza Cemetery in Elmendorf, Texas.
