Our world has experienced a great loss and Heaven has gained a beautiful Angel. I remember living nextdoor to each other when you were a little girl and then discovering that we were not only neighbors but actually cousins too! I regret that I won't be able to attend Amanda's memorial service. What I'll never regret is knowing this wonderful person. It was my great privilege to work with her on projects for the Cancer Support Community. It was in that connection that I came to know Amanda as the remarkable person, leader and friend that she was. Such a smile! And such a great example of perseverance and fortitude! The last time I saw Amanda was in early December. She was suffering, but was playing games...

My condolences to the Buss family, her mother and extended family members. Amanda fought a courageous battle for such a long time. She was such an inspiration to many in her community.
