Deck Hanneman Funeral Home Obituary

Amanda Dean, 31, of Northwood and formerly of Bowling Green passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Friday November 4, 2016 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a courageous fight with cancer.

Amanda was born in Gainesville, Georgia to Henry and Shirley (Anderson) Umbel. She married Andrew Dean on February 2, 2007 in Bowling Green, Ohio and he survives her in Northwood. Also surviving is her mother Shirley Greeno; children: Anna Umbel and Hayden Dean; grandmother Letta Anderson, stepfather: Kevin Greeno; stepbrothers and stepsisters; her best friend Sam Sayler and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Henry.

Amanda loved motorcycle rides, was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and collect dolphin items. She loved her children more than anything. She loved her Friday lunch dates with Andrew and attending Wednesday night service dinners at St. Marks Lutheran Church with her family when they still lived in Bowling Green. Even though Amanda is no longer with us, her smile and joy that she brought everyone she came in contact with will be a memory that will live on for a life time.

Visitation for Amanda will be on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 1:00 PM until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 5:00 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.

Memorial contributions may be made in Amanda’s honor to the Wood County Humane Society.

St. Michael the Archangel Bereavement Team Ministry

One minute you was there then next minute you where gone that fast. I was shock how fast you left us . Me and kids will be ok without you but you going be deeply missed . You are going always be in my heart. I love you babe. Hayden and Anna also loves you too.

What can I say? Where do I begin? Where do we all go from here? We transcended being step-sister's. My dad raised us all like equal siblings. The family dynamic is forever changed without your laughter, fun, and zest for life. EVERY holiday will no longer be the same. You will live on in my niece and nepwhew. I will always make sure Xavier will always know how much his beloved and doting Aunt Mandy loves him. You are at rest, and we will look to the heavens to reunite someday.
