Not sure what to say?

I was Amanda´s hairstylist for about 4-5 years at a salon in Lakewood, Crazy Mullets. Unfortunately we lost touch after I left that space due but I always remembered her smile, mutual love in alternative music and red hair dye. There are no words to properly console a loss like this, but I hope in time you feel peace in the hard moments and remember that infectious, bright smile.

So very sorry for the loss of Amanda. She was such bright light. We will always remember her in her SKA band, or for her Food not bombs, always thinking of others, much love and prayers Jimmy & Joyce Omalley

I did not know Amanda, but I know her from her loving parents who were neighbors and friends of my parents and brother. There is nothing that can comfort loved ones, but knowing that we all care, deeply, hopefully, will help ease this pain. And I know all the humorous and cherished memories of Amanda--her talent and love to the world, will bring comfort to all those who loved her, knowing how much good she left for our world. Love and Blessings to you all.

Had the privilege meeting Amanda Lee Derr out here in NYC working together at Brooklyn in the music industry, she worked as a manager & I work security guard when I first met Amanda she had this wholesome presence about her, with the biggest beautiful smile, her amazing colorful hair designs which she always knew how to pull off! Gave the longest & warmest bear hug when greeting you & wishing you get home safe at the end of our shift. We are lucky enough to call where we work at a family due...

I grew up with Amanda. We were in a band together in high school. Amanda was a genuine friend, person, and band mate. I loved her for her ability to be so calm and collective. She was an amazing artist, writer, and musician. She was a blessing to be around. I ran cross country with her brother and he is also a tremendous guy. My heart goes out to Amanda´s family. I really can´t believe she is gone so soon. Rest in peace, Amanda. I loved you because you were "you." You will never be forgotten.

It has been many years since we were close, but you were an essential part of my childhood through preschool and ballet class together, and hours spent playing games with Beanie Babies and doing crafts. You taught me that it was ok, even more than that, it was amazing, to be my true, authentic self. I thought of you often in the past 20 years. All my love to you, and your loved ones.

She will be missed. I shared 10 months with you one year in high school. It was a great time. Met you while you visited a friend near by. Went ice skating and asked you out. You made me better and meeting you was like hitting a rock. You sent me going in a different direction. That matters to me and it always will. We have a connection and If there is any type of after life I know I will see you in it.

So very sorry for family and friends Above all, I accompany my nephew Madeleine Hoyle in his sadness for his friend.

Amanda was my very first friend when I moved to Ohio. If anyone could show you "the good" in life, it was her. She will be a part of me forever. Sending my love to everyone.
