All three of us Roddy girls thought Amanda hung the moon. She was the "big girl" who lived down the street who we looked up to and admired. Each of us wanted to be just like her. My thoughts of condolences and prayers of comfort are being offered to Mrs. White and Amanda's family. Amanda grew up as a member of our greater Southern Heights family and friends. May the great memories shared bring peace and healing. May her soul rest in peace.

I have known Amanda since we were in 1st grade together at Southern University Lab School. We probably received 1st Communication and Confirmation together at Immaculate Conception Church in Scotlandville. Amanda was one of the best people I´ve ever known. I admired her kind, considerate and compassionate personality. Her laughter and indomitable spirit will be missed. I´m blessed to have had her as a friend. My condolences to the family.
