The first time I visited Amanda at her home she told me "You don't even know who your higher power is yet". I was a backslidden, Pentecostal, minister with about one year clean from ten years of living a prodigal lifstyle in the streets, jails, and drugs. I was appauled at that, but gave no reply.

Seems like you have been in my life forever. We have only been good friends for about seven years. I always felt like our friendship was very unique , but that was a gift you had. You made all your friendships unique.
It was an amazing power I felt when I visited you sitting in your room with dozens of people who loved you so much. Ive never experenced love like that in action before. Thank you for being such an example in recovery. I'm going to miss all the questions you always asked...

I knew Amanda for several years. She was a survivor with a sparkling spirit and a huge heart. She loved her son, Mark Joseph, and her granddaughter Elizabeth more than anything. She was always honest, open and willing to learn about herself and others. I feel honored to have known her.

Although Amanda only worked for Goodwill for a short period of time, she proved to be a valuable employee. Her ability to work as an effective member of the team, her maturity and the skills she demonstrated everyday enhanced our operation. My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends as you experience this great loss.

How am suppose to live without you, when I've been loving you so long? Wom, I miss you so much. All the times, our kids, road trips, singing, seeing the fellowship grow so much, death of loved ones, silly movies, great food, fall outs, make ups, illness, celebrations, the list goes on and one. I'll see you on the other side. Snarf
