I think of Amanda often - in difficult times, I think of her strength, I think of how she might act (for she was all about action) and I use this guidance. I also think of how she lived life to the fullest, we laughed often, loud and long. I am privileged to have known her - she helped to make a strange city my home, she gave me a family when I was alone, she helped make the woman I am today, . . . I love her dearly and I miss her.

You were noble, full of grace and had the most captivating smile .I only met you a few times and that was at Auntie Delia's. There the three auntie's Delia, Marlene and Raye would talk to me about what a shining star you were. Such an inspiration to the family and of course your beautiful smile , and how beautiful you were inside as well as outside. Mom, surrounded by loving family, a strong sense of who i am, my health, i stand proud. Thank you for birth on Hornby island which will always be home for me. Amanda, You were the most regal person I have ever known. You taught me about grace. I am always glad when I think about the legacy of love you left for your family.
