I think of Amanda often - in difficult times, I think of her strength, I think of how she might act (for she was all about action) and I use this guidance. I also think of how she lived life to the fullest, we laughed often, loud and long. I am privileged to have known her - she helped to make a strange city my home, she gave me a family when I was alone, she helped make the woman I am today, . . . I love her dearly and I miss her.

When I think of Amanda, I am inspired to fight for a better world; a place of peace, justice, and freedom. I carry her with me in the hardest moments of struggle for social justice. I think of her laughter and celebratory spirit in times of victory. It is an honour and a gift to have shared part of this long journey toward equality with Amanda. In the soliarity and strength of sisterhood, Annabel

Amanda
You were noble, full of grace and had the most captivating smile .I only met you a few times and that was at Auntie Delia's. There the three auntie's Delia, Marlene and Raye would talk to me about what a shining star you were. Such an inspiration to the family and of course your beautiful smile , and how beautiful you were inside as well as outside. I am thinking about you and your family and know that you are in their hearts forever. Much love

Amanda, You were the most regal person I have ever known. You taught me about grace. I am always glad when I think about the legacy of love you left for your family. Your children are thriving, as I'm sure you know. Love you. I wish my daughter (your cousin, twice removed?), Lucia and my husband Steve could have known you.
