Merle and Patty,

I just found out about Amanda today. Lauren and I have just recently moved back to Huntsville. Just last week we went tried to find your house Patty as Lauren wanted to visit Seth and Amanda as they have always been in her heart like a brother and sister. This news is just hard to believe! I am very sorry for your loss. I did not have the priviledge to know Amanda but I did teach Seth his sophomore year. I will continue to keep him and the rest of your family in my thoughts in prayers.

I taught Amanda her senior year at Bob Jones and enjoyed every minute of having her in my class. She and Samantha still visited me often at school - I have a special place in my heart for both of them. My heart goes out to your family during this time of loss.

We are all shocked to hear of your loss. I regret that we never had the opportunity to reconnect with Amanda as we have with you in the past year. We are very saddened, and i don't know how to express how deep our sympathy is. Please know that we think of you all often and will keep you in our prayers even more so at this time of grief.

Amanda was a student of mine, and I cannot imagine the loss you must feel. She was a sweet, kind girl whom I will always remember. I am happy to have known her during her short time on this earth.

Amanda was a student in my class at Bob Jones and she stole my heart from day one. Her uplifting spirit and beautiful smile were contagious. She will be dearly missed by her Bob Jones family. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and Amanda will always be in my heart.
