Funeral service for Amber Lynn Ellis, 28, of Decatur will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Clotfelter, the Rev. W.G. Henry and the Rev. Mitchell Williams officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
Miss Ellis died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1976, in Gainesville, Fla., to Dr. Gerry F. Ellis and Linda Bishop Ellis. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1995. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Dr. Gerry F. and Linda Ellis of Decatur; one brother, Gregory F. Ellis of Birmingham; her grandmother, Gertrude Ellis-Martin of Tallahassee, Fla.; and her aunts, Sherry Crews and Tana Ashbaker, both of Tallahassee, and Donna Adkins of Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Chason Ashbaker, Gregory Ellis, Joe Hollenbeck, Christopher Messer, Michael Messer and Jay Tourney.
Memorials may be made to the Amber Lynn Ellis Scholarship Fund, Calhoun College, P.O. Box 2216, Decatur, AL 35609, sponsored by Robert T. and Becky Bell.

Dr. and Mrs. Ellis,
I am so sorry it has taken me this long to hear of Amber's untimely passing. There simply are no words to express to you how sorry I am for her loss. She and I were friends at Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out and her friendship was such a light in my life. I am so sorry for the loss of Amber. She was a dear friend in high school and I have always regretted that we lost touch. She was a joyful person, always ready for a good laugh. She will be greatly missed.
