Mrs. Amber Ketcham Moody age 45 of Bell Gap Rd. Hiawassee passed away peacefully on Friday November 15, 2024 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Moody was born on April 20, 1979 in Powder Springs, GA., the daughter of Mike Ketcham and Karen Gay Ketcham. Amber was a teacher and had taught for over eleven years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and granddaughter. Amber was a member of East gate Church in Hiawassee.
Surviving Amber are her loving husband and best friend of twenty three years, Ryan Moody of Hiawassee, one son, Gabe Moody age 18 of Hiawassee, one daughter, Lily Moody age 14 of Hiawassee, her parents, Mike and Karen Ketcham of Clarksville, GA., one sister and brother in law, Kym and Matt Armstrong of West Minster, SC., her father in law, Chester and Darlene Moody of Buford, GA., mother in law, Pat and Jack Rickles of Murrayville, GA., her grandmother, Bobbie Ketcham of McDonough, GA., her beloved dog and cats, Josie, Ginger, Wasabi and Nimbus, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday November 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the East Gate Church in Hiawassee with Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society in Amber’s memory. The family will meet with friends at the East Gate Church on Sunday from 2-3:00 pm.

One of the most beautiful souls ever! Always thinking of others before herself. Strong yet gentle with an unwavering faith that is beautiful to behold. Amber, You have inspired and encouraged more people than you could ever imagine! You always had that sincere smile and a true light and likeness of Christ in your eyes. You will be so missed and forever cherished.

What a beautiful woman we have lost. Amber was a friend to so many. A passionate teacher and a joyful follower of Jesus. We are so blessed and honored to have known her and her family. We are so sorry that she has left this earth. She will be greatly missed.
