Ameena is on my mind tonight. I was just telling my husband about her (again) and my 12-year-old son. I told them both that she was one of the best people I had ever encountered, that I'd ever known. Actually, I can think of none smarter, kinder, more full of life and love than she. I've said it before...but I always thought there would be more time to reconnect, to catch up. Lesson learned.
